PROCESS DYNAMICS AND CONTROL
Q NO. 1 : A thermometer having first order dynamics is placed in a temperature both of 45 oC. after the thermometer reaches the equilibrium with the bath, the bath is subjected to sinusoidal forcing function about its average temperature of of 45 oC with an amplitude of 15 oC. if the period of oscillation is 3.0 sec/cycle and the time constant of the thermometer is 10 second. Determine,
1] Maximum and minimum temperatures indicated by the thermometer.
2] Amplitude ratio. 3] Phase lag
Q. NO. 2: Determine the transfer function for the mercury in glass thermometer. Also derive and sketch the response for impulse change of magnitude A is made to the system.
Q. NO. 3 Determine the transfer function for the two liquid level system having similar geometry.
Also derive and sketch the response of the system, if unit step change is made.
Q. NO. 4 Determine the transfer function for U tube liquid manometer, mentioning all constant in the system. Also derive the response equation for the system, if damping parameter is equal to one and unit step disturbance is made to the system.
Q. NO. 5 The overall transfer function of the control system is given as
16
G(s) = -------------------------
